My two kidlets recently returned from a 39 day tour of Europe, and while there they were treated to some of the finest art and architecture
(and liquor, apparently) in the world. Meanwhile, dear old dad had to content himself with living the dream vicariously, following them through Europe via the 'net. It was there that I came across this fascinating 360 degree virtual tour of the visually stunning Sistine chapel in Vatican City. Built between 1473 and 1481, the chapel was later decorated with frescoes by a number of the most famous artists of the Renaissance, including Botticelli and Michelangelo, whose 12,000 square feet of paintings on the ceiling are considered by many to be his finest work.
