Kath is an absolutely beautiful soul and a gifted writer, with a keen eye for amazing food and travel photography. If you love food, family and travel (and who doesn't?) you'll adore her as much as I do. Check it out below. Cheers, -M- www.foodmusings.ca

Working people frequently ask retired people what they do to make their days interesting.
Well for example, the other day I went into town and went to a shop. I was only in there for about 5 minutes. When I came out there was a police officer writing out a parking ticket. I went up to him and said, "Come on copper, how about giving a senior a break?" He ignored me and continued writing the ticket. I called him a Nazi. He glared at me and started writing another ticket for having worn tires. So I called him a piece of dog poop. He finished the second ticket and put it on the windshield with the first. Then he started writing a third ticket. This went on for about 20 minutes. The more I abused him, the more tickets he wrote. Personally, I didn't really care. I came into town by bus. I try to have a little fun each day now that I'm retired. It's important at my age. -Submitted by Janis Hughes- Hey All,
Just a heads up that teacher, renaissance man, Harley rider, musician and fellow grad John Melnyk and his band are playing a two night gig this Friday and Saturday (Aug 20 and 21) at Deen's Caribbean Restaurant and Patio at 205 Marion St.(see google map link below). If you're in the city on the weekend come on down and check them out. Weather permitting, they'll be playing on the patio, with first set starting at 7 p.m. A fine way to celebrate a summer's eve in the 'Peg. Perhaps a reunion flash mob will materialize... Slightly embarrassed and with a quick smile to the bus driver, she reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little, thinking that this would give her enough slack to raise her leg She tried to take the step, only to discover that she couldn't. So, a little more embarrassed, she once again reached behind her to unzip her skirt a little more, and for the second time attempted the step. Once again, much to her chagrin, she could not raise her leg. With a little smile to the driver, she again reached behind to unzip a little more and again was unable to take the step. About this time, a large Texan who was standing behind her picked her up easily by the waist and placed her gently on the step of the bus. She went ballistic and turned to the would-be Samaritan and yelled, 'How dare you touch my body! I don't even know who you are!' The Texan smiled and drawled, 'Well, ma'am, normally I would agree with you, but after you unzipped my fly three times, I kinda figured we was friends.' -Submitted by Carol Lion-Ellis- In 1977, I worked with grad Amy Bereziuk on the MS Lord Selkirk. After seeing her name on the Missing Persons list, I started looking. When I finally found her on Facebook, this was her reaction: WOW...FRICKIN...WOW... CAN'T BELIEVE YOU EVEN THOUGHT ABOUT ME OR FOUND ME...THAT IS JUST AWESOME...EMAIL IS xxxxxxxx...WOW That reaction was SO worth it! With a view to an even better turnout at the next reunion, I challenge all of you to make the effort to find other MMC '74 grads and get them registered on this website.
