Introducing Tillman, the skim/snow/skateboarding bulldog. This pooch is amazing and he really looks like he's enjoying himself. I think I just moved one link down the food-chain.

_Hey all. A shout out for my amazing niece Kimberly Carroll, daughter of my equally amazing sister Judi. You may possibly remember Kim from her time here in Winnipeg, first at Celebrations Dinner Theatre, then as entertainment host on MTN's Live On Lombard for a number of years, and most probably as the host of the hit reno show 'Take This House And Sell It!' on the W channel. Kim was recently featured in a Globe And Mail article on spirituality as a certified soul coach. Here's what Kim had to say about the piece: "The article was definitely far more superficial than I would have liked to see (and I personally don't advocate materialism as a path to spirituality!), but it did get one of my messages out there: That you don't have to be a saint alone on some mountaintop somewhere to live a more interconnected, present, or "spiritual" life. That you can start right here, with exactly who you are right now -- whether that be somebody who wears lipstick and trips up regularly in their life or somebody who likes sports and has never tried meditating before. And that you can do it with your sense of humour intact. Of course, Soul Coaching is SO much more than what was shared in this article. Please check out my site: www.soulcoaching.org to find out more. P.S. I love working with women, but my Soul Coaching Groups wouldn't be the same without my amazing guys on-board too." As you can imagine, I am a very proud uncle! You can read the entire story by clicking on the link below. -Jim Smith- Paddy McCoy, an elderly Irish farmer, received a letter from the Department for Work & Pensions stating that they suspected he was not paying his employees the statutory minimum wage and they would send an inspector to interview them.
On the appointed day, the inspector turned up. "Tell me about your staff," he asked Paddy. "Well," said Paddy, "there's the farm hand, I pay him £240 a week, and he has a free cottage. Then there's the housekeeper. She gets £190 a week, along with free board and lodging. There's also the half-wit. He works a 16 hour day, does 90% of the work, earns about £25 a week along with a bottle of whiskey and, as a special treat, occasionally gets to sleep with my wife." "That's disgraceful" said the inspector, "I need to interview the half-wit." "That'll be me then," said Paddy. -Submitted by Peter W.- _You can now register for the MMC 60th Anniversary Reunion taking place June 22-23. Cost is only $36.00 per person.

How are those resolutions going? Aww, that's okay, maybe next year. At least that's what I'm telling myself. The one thing I have resolved to do is to more thoroughly appreciate the beauty of the world around us. To that end, I would like to share with you some extraordinary time-lapse video footage taken by Norwegian film maker Terje Sørgjerd, who spent a week on El Tiede, Spain's highest mountain and home to one of the world's foremost observatories. When you witness the stellar beauty on display, you'll know why. To learn more about the story behind Terje's incredible video (including Saharan sandstorms!) and to link to more of his work, click here. Enjoy! P.S. Click on the expansion arrows beneath the video, because you are going to want to see this in full screen mode! The Mountain from TSO Photography on Vimeo. |
