I'm sure many of you would agree that our 'Golden Years' can be challenging at the best of times.
Speaking of which, the golden anniversary of our high school graduation is upon us in 2024. That's right, it has been 50 years since we ventured out to make our way in the world! I know, I know, that can't be possible! I'm sure my grad suit is still hanging in a closet somewhere!
This half-century mark does seem an appropriate time for us to gather together to celebrate life, renew old acquaintances, honor those who have passed, and generally pretend we're all 18 again, until at least 10 o'clock. The dates and activities are still up for discussion, but we are thinking of a day or days in late June, but that's not set in stone as yet.
First order of business is to inform the potential attendees of this golden shindig.
I am reaching out to as many of you on here as possible, as a starting point for this grad hunt.
As you can imagine, our database of names and contact information is also showing its age. Many of the email addresses were tied to the workplaces of our retired fellow grads. Many have moved, given up their home phones, etc.
What I am asking is that each of us scour our different contact lists for grads that we know (phone, email, Messenger, Facebook, etc.) and provide them to our team to help us get in touch with as many grads as we can.
You can reply in an e-mail to [email protected] .
Looking forward to hearing back from you soon.
Let's get this party started!
Cheers,
Michael
